Nourish
Reducing Food Insecurity Through Affordable Grocery Services

Project Summary
Nourish is a mobile app concept designed in order address the ongoing crisis related to food deserts and high grocery costs. The primary purpose of this application is to compare and find the lowest grocery costs as well as deliver it to users.
Outcome Statement
This design allows users to save money on their groceries with side-by-side comparison. It allows for people living in food deserts to access these cheaper options through the free delivery provided based on location data.
Key Stages
UX Research
The following research was conducted prior to the design in order to understand root causes and pain points:
-
One out of eight American adults are struggling to afford enough food
-
Food prices have risen 28% in the past five years
-
Around 19 million Americans live in food deserts
Low Fidelity Wireframes
Sketches for the initial concept were designed and revised in an iterative process in order to maximize the most efficient, effective, and user-friendly screens.

User Testing

Based on feedback and testing, changes were made to the mid fidelity wireframes to optimize the use experience.
