Reimagining the Trip
Planning Experience

Project Summary
Planning trips can be stressful and travel agents can be spendy, we designed an app concept that aims to make trip planning fun and easy. The design process was led by myself along with one other designer.
Outcome Statement
In the final design, we were able to showcase an in depth planning process that catered to the individual users desires and preferences. It includes an engaging game-style quiz that aids in the location, activities, and overall itinerary of the trip.
Key Stages
User Research
Extensive research was conducted in order to understand the current travel trends and planning goals that users valued. Based on our research we found the following information crucial to our project:

82% of travel bookings took place without human interaction in 2018

Gen Z desires unique and personalized experiences

48% of US smartphone users exclusively use phones when planning and researching their trip

In order to a get a clearer understanding of the necessary screens we needed to design; we created a user flow. This also allowed for better navigation during the design process.
